What is Sodexo Business Services Porto?

SBS undertakes a central role in Sodexo’s strategic performance and competitiveness by contributing to efficiency improvement and performance enhancement. 

Sodexo Business Services (SBS) was created in Porto, Portugal, in 2018 as part of Sodexo’s mission to enhance operational efficiency through the SoOne project.

With the creation of a new Business Center in Porto, the focus lays on transforming and centralizing financial processes and core functions of Sodexo’s operations throughout the globe, bringing process standardization, harmonizing technology, and implementing innovative cutting-edge tools.

To serve this purpose, SBS operates in several financial domains such as Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), Record to Report (R2R) and Master Data Management (MDM):

  • P2P: the process of receiving, paying for, and accounting for goods and services, covering the entire process from point of order right through to payment.
  • O2C: All the processes from placing a customer order,  billing,  to when the payment is received and applied to accounts receivable including the collections process.
  • R2R: a finance and accounting management process that involves collecting, processing and presenting accurate financial data. R2R provides strategic, financial and operational feedback on the performance of the organization to inform management and other stakeholders.
  • MDM: Master data management (MDM) involves creating a single master record for each person, place, or thing in a business, from across internal and external data sources and applications.
