Stop Hunger provides 900,000 meals for COVID-affected communities in India
In India we’ve partnered with leading public service organisations, India Food Banking Network and Zomato Feeding India to provide emergency food aid to daily wage-earners and low-income families in Covid-affected communities in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Patna and Varanasi.
We are supporting 85,000 beneficiaries with 900,000 meals through this initiative.
With India Food Banking Network, we are working to distribute dry ration kits of cooking essentials such as rice, wheat flour, pulses, oil and spices to 26,625 beneficiaries.
With Zomato Feeding India we are focusing on distributing 60,000+ meal packets to migrant labourers, daily wage earners and stranded people at in-transit points in Delhi and Mumbai. Each meal kit contains vital products for basic needs: water bottle, glucose biscuits, sattu (roasted gram or chana powder), chips, namkeen, roasted chana, soap strips and a face mask.
Stop Hunger is a global non-profit network acting sustainably towards a hunger-free world, supported by its founding partner Sodexo.
