Innovate to create a sustainable future

Innov'Challenge participants
On October 4th, Sodexo held our Innov’Challenge award ceremony in Paris. 7 finalists, were invited to pitch their sustainable innovative projects to a committee of experts and executives. Five of them saw their project awarded and will get their sustainable initiative scaled up to all Sodexo.

As the leader in sustainable food and valued experiences, this challenge is rooted in our commitment to combine growth with responsibility in everything we do. And one way to do so is to encourage our teams’ intrapreneurship mindset.

What is the Innov’Challenge?

Our 422,000 employees were invited to participate in the Innov’Challenge. This year edition had a focus on sustainability and making sure that the best sustainable initiatives would have a global impact.

After the voting phase, 7 projects from across the globe (Italy, Brazil, Colombia, USA…) were nominated as finalists and invited to participate in the last phase in Paris. Arriving in Paris, our finalists were able to enjoy the city while preparing for the big day: the pitch day. An opportunity for them to introduce their project and defend its viability and scalability in front of a committee of experts and executives.

    Awarding our sustainability champions

Our 5 winners were announced during a beautiful ceremony along the Seine banks on October 4. But receiving the awards is only the beginning! Along the year, the winners will have the chance to participate in sustainability and innovation workshops, they will be followed by a coach and will benefit from executive mentoring, the final objective being to develop their project, and scale it up worldwide.

    Curious about the winning projects?

Congratulations again to all of them!
